STANLEY tells it all – TONGUE IN CHEECK!
The Sousa Tribute Band’s first performance was at the event in 2019 commemorating Operation Market Garden. The first notes sounded at the main stage of Basecamp Vlagheide in Schijndel/Eerde, The Netherlands. There were three first ones at the same time: first day of public opening, first band that day and our first performance.

For those who wonder what happened at the end, well, that one’s on me. Marches are great, but after a while the lack of variation in tempo becomes an issue. So I wanted to shake things up a little. There is nothing better than a Comedy Capers like ending, right? Since this was the only suitable march for a bit of fun like that, I took the Vivo at the end as Vivacissimo. Meaning, the one thing we can’t rehearse nor prepare for worked out well. Don’t worry. We all ended at the same time.
